Michael supports Broadstone Pantomime

Michael was delighted to be invited to the pantomime in Broadstone for its 40th anniversary production on the Wizard of Oz. Michael and his daughter had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon and Michael was impressed by the professionalism of the performance.

 

Local school children design Christmas cards

As in previous years, Michael asked local school children to design his Christmas cards. There were some fantastic entries, with a lovely range of designs. They are being sent out across Dorset and beyond. Congratulations to those children who had their designs chosen.

Michael has welcomed yesterday’s announcement that funding for the police system will increase by up to £970 million next year, the biggest increase since 2010.

Save the Children Parade Wimborne

Michael was delighted to be able to help as a marshal at the 30th Wimborne parade raising money for Save the Children. Despite the awful weather, there was a good turnout, and people enjoyed a great display of festive floats and music.

Michael was delighted to visit the sorting office in Wareham to see first-hand the operation of delivering Christmas post and to pass on early Season’s Greetings to its dedicated, hardworking staff.

Michael Judges Broadstone Christmas Parade

Michael was pleased to be able to attend the Broadstone Christmas Parade as a judge on Small Business Saturday. The event was very well attended, and the weather was not as bad as it could have been! Lots of local groups and organisations attended.

 

Homeless Sleep Out

Michael spent an uncomfortable night sleeping outside with only cardboard to protect him from the elements. It was to raise money for the Poole charity Routes to Roots, and was with the church youth group in Lytchett Minster.

 

Michael celebrates Diwali

Michael was delighted to be invited to celebrate Diwali with the community in Corfe Mullen. Dorset Kannada Sanga invited Michael and his family to enjoy lunch and entertainment on Saturday.
