Michael was pleased to have met the Housing Minister Kit Malthouse recently, and discussed the importance of unlocking brownfield sites, including the old power station here in Poole.
Michael was delighted to be invited to the pantomime in Broadstone for its 40th anniversary production on the Wizard of Oz. Michael and his daughter had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon and Michael was impressed by the professionalism of the performance.
Michael was pleased to be able to contribute to a debate the tax rate for families. MPs are calling on the Chancellor to review the marginal tax rate for families. Michael was also highlighting the manifesto for families which is supported by many Conservative MPs.
Michael was pleased to meet the Secretary of State for Health and Social care, Matt Hancock recently. They discussed the upcoming changes to healthcare and hospital provision in Dorset.
As in previous years, Michael asked local school children to design his Christmas cards. There were some fantastic entries, with a lovely range of designs. They are being sent out across Dorset and beyond. Congratulations to those children who had their designs chosen.
Michael welcomes £970 million boost to police funding
Michael has welcomed yesterday’s announcement that funding for the police system will increase by up to £970 million next year, the biggest increase since 2010.
