For English Tourism Week Michael was delighted to visit two different tourist attractions in Mid Dorset and North Poole.  

Now in its eighth year, English Tourism Week raises the profile and showcases the benefits of the tourism industry to local communities and the economy.

Michael calls for mobile Roaming to end "Not-Spots"

Michael was pleased to be a co-signatory to a letter to the Secretary of State, for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, Jeremy Wright MP, to ask the Government to make a requirement that network operators enable roaming between providers to improve mobile coverage in rural areas.

World Book Day

Michael was delighted to support world book day this week. The theme this year was "Share a story" and children in schools were all given a book token towards the purchase of a book.

Michael meets Housing Minister

Michael was pleased to have met the Housing Minister Kit Malthouse recently, and discussed the importance of unlocking brownfield sites, including the old power station here in Poole.

 

Michael supports Broadstone Pantomime

Michael was delighted to be invited to the pantomime in Broadstone for its 40th anniversary production on the Wizard of Oz. Michael and his daughter had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon and Michael was impressed by the professionalism of the performance.

 

Local school children design Christmas cards

As in previous years, Michael asked local school children to design his Christmas cards. There were some fantastic entries, with a lovely range of designs. They are being sent out across Dorset and beyond. Congratulations to those children who had their designs chosen.
