This week the Prime Minister announced that all new homes and buildings will be required to have electric charging points from next year, as we drive forwards with our green industrial revolution and create green jobs across the country.

We are at a pivotal moment where we must adapt our economy to the green industrial revolution through massive investment in science and technology.

That is why we will require new homes and buildings, such as supermarkets and workplaces, to have electric vehicle charging points from next year – meaning up to 145,000 extra charging points will be installed each year in the run up to 2030, when the sale of new petrol and diesel cars will end in the UK.

These world-leading regulations will help us to adapt to a more sustainable future, as well as creating green jobs across the country as we build back greener.
