Michael discusses climate Change

Michael was pleased to be able to meet with constituents who had travelled to London for the Time is Now climate change event in London.

 

They discussed reducing emissions and the recent government announcements to end our contribution to global warming by 2050.

Michael attends Independent School APPG

Michael was pleased to attend the first meeting of the new All Party Parliamentary Group for Independent Education. This was entitled “An Introduction to Independent-State School Partnerships: A roundtable discussion on the value and strength of cross-sector working”.

 

Michael encourages MPs to be youth friendly

As part of his work with the Youth Employment All Party Group, on the 17th of June Michael hosted a drop-in session for MPs to sign the Youth Friendly MP Charter.

Michael presents report to Minister

In his position as chair of the Youth Employment All Party Parliamentary Group, Michael met the Minister of State for Skills and Apprenticeships Anne Milton.

Michael presented her with the APPG's latest report on employer support for youth employment.

Michael attends Corfe Mullen carnival

Michael was delighted to join the Corfe Mullen carnival again this year with his family. He chatted to many of the community groups taking part, and met Miss Diamond Dorset 2019.

 

Michael encourages young people at STEM event

Michael was delighted to be invited to the STEM skills challenge at Poole Harbour Commissioners as part of the Poole Maritime Festival. The students were given a challenge about flood defences (on a very wet day!)

 

 

Michael meets Canford Heath residents

Michael met some of the Association of Canford Heath residents (ARCH) to hear about their recent events, and discuss areas of concern in Canford Heath.

Michael takes part in D-day commemorations

Michael was honoured to be asked to take part in the commemorations for D-day in Wareham, remembering the enormous sacrifice made by so many people, to keep our country free.
