Michael was delighted to meet with members of the local branches of the Royal British Legion (RBL) earlier this month.
He was briefed on the factors influencing the lives of veterans in the various areas of Mid Dorset and North Poole and the greatest challenges which they are currently facing.
Branch members also described how RBL works with the local community to increase awareness, including their work during the Poppy Appeal, and also about efforts to reduce veterans' isolation with local projects.
Michael said:
I want to thank all of the members of the local RBL branches for their important work in our community and for taking the time to meet me, and for sharing the challenges and opportunities which they face at the moment.
