Michael meets local businesses at Conference

Several local business owners attended the British Holiday & Home Parks Association conference in London recently. 

Michael met with the owners and team from Wareham Forest Tourist Park and South Lytchett Manor Caravan and Camping Park. They discussed the challenges and opportunities, and the future - including technological advancement and incorporation, and the next generation rising up to be leading the industry. 

 

Both parks are award winners - with Wareham Forest Tourist park taking gold, and South Lytchett Manor Caravan and Camping Park taking silver at the recent Dorset Tourism awards.

We have some superb local tourist parks for people to visit here in Mid Dorset and North Poole, and I was delighted to chat to our award-winners about what they can offer for visitors to our beautiful area.

Michael Appointed to Join Ethics and Integrity Commission

Michael has been asked to join the Ethics and Integrity Commission (EIC). Michael was appointed by the Prime Minister having been nominated by the Leader of the Opposition, Kemi Badenoch.  The Commission was launched on 13 October 2025, replacing the Committee on Standards in Public Life.
