As the Minister for Countering Illegal Migration, Michael summed up the Committee Stage debate in Parliament this week for the Safety of Rwanda Bill. He also answered questions about the policy during the two days of debating.

Michael met women from the local Soroptimists at Wimborne library, to discuss their work on reducing violence against women and girls. They discussed provision for the victims of domestic violence in Dorset.

The Prime Minster has asked Michael to be the Minister of State for Countering Illegal Migration, moving from his previous position as Solicitor General. As part of this role he will also attend Cabinet, giving his input into decision-making at the very heart of Government.
